Dr. James Fialk, ND, L.Ac
Dr. James Fialk, ND, L.Ac is a licensed naturopathic doctor (ND) and licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac). He earned his doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) where he graduated with honors. During his naturopathic training, Dr. Fialk gained clinical experience as an integrative primary care provider throughout the greater Portland, Oregon area. Upon graduation, he completed a nationally accredited post-graduate naturopathic residency program in integrative primary care where he received advanced clinical training.
While at NCNM, Dr. Fialk became fascinated with acupuncture, Chinese herbalism and the principles of Chinese medicine. Upon relocating to California, He decided to pursue his interest in Chinese medicine and further expand his healing perspective and spectrum of care. He earned a doctorate in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine (DACM) from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) at CIIS in San Francisco and became a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac). During his clinical acupuncture training, he took special interest in orthopedics/sports medicine and pain management in addition to general internal medicine.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Fialk also provides integrative medicine and acupuncture at Santa Rosa Community Health Centers and is adjunct faculty at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) at CIIS where he teaches anatomy, physiology, pathology/pathophysiology, and lab diagnosis & imaging.
Outside of his practice of medicine, James enjoys playing music and going on outdoor adventures with his wife, two sons, and dog.
